Giving Creative Connection a Chance
An Experiential Two Part Online Workshop
Integrating Expressive Arts, Psychodrama, Somatic Practices, and Neurobiology-oriented approaches to gently reconnect with our inherent creativity and emotional expression
June 14 & 21, 2026
10:00 AM to 1:00 PM IST
Zoom (Online)
It's not about being good at creativity, it's about creativity being good for you.
“I’m not an artist.”
“I’m not creative.”
“I’m not good at it at all.”
“I can’t even draw a straight line.”
These are just a few of the many valid reasons we hesitate to give creativity a chance.
Yet our brains and bodies are capable of holding all of us- our linear thinking, our need to make sense of the world, our courage to move through uncertainty, and our capacity for imagination and dreaming.
Often, our wounds around creativity are formed when something tender within us was dismissed, compared, corrected, or judged. A drawing, a dance, a story, a feeling- met without safety. Slowly, an invisible thread of “not good enough” begins to weave itself into our inner world, and we close the doors to vulnerability and self-expression.
And yet…
If you look back carefully, you may remember moments where creativity emerged naturally and unexpectedly- through play, movement, imagination, music, colour, words, or simple curiosity, revealing something deeply true about who you are.
Perhaps that itself is a quiet reminder that creativity is not something reserved for a few, but an inherent human capacity.
Through a neurobiology-oriented expressive arts and psychodrama approach, this workshop invites us to gently understand how creativity lives within all of us.
Together, we will explore creative and body-based modalities that help access feelings, memories, and experiences beyond words. Rather than focusing on performance or artistic skill, the emphasis will be on presence, curiosity, embodiment, and authentic expression.
What You Will Receive Through This Workshop?
In this two part online workshop with Jaya Narayan, you will receive:
-
A safe and non-judgmental space to explore creativity beyond performance or perfection
-
Gentle understanding of how creativity, emotions, and the nervous system are interconnected
-
Opportunities to reconnect with imagination, playfulness, spontaneity, and inner expression
-
Body-based and expressive practices to access emotions and experiences beyond words
-
Greater self-compassion and acceptance toward parts of yourself that may have felt hidden or silenced
-
A deeper relationship with your own inner resources, creativity, and somatic wisdom
-
Moments of connection, reflection, movement, and curiosity
This will be a purely experiential space- an invitation to reconnect with imagination, somatic wisdom, playfulness, and self-compassion in ways that feel safe, nourishing, and meaningful.
No prior experience in art, movement, or creativity is needed.
Only a willingness to explore.
