Workshop Overview

Introduction-
The mother wound refers to the emotional pain, unmet needs and coping strategies that develop from a strained, neglectful, critical, or emotionally unavailable relationship with one’s mother or primary caregiver. This wound often manifests as shame, abandonment, unworthiness, perfectionism, hyper-independence, and the internalization of limiting beliefs—especially those shaped by patriarchal systems passed down through generations.
At its core, the mother wound is an attachment wound—one that affects how we relate to ourselves, others, and the world around us.
The mother wound is a quiet ache carried deep in the bones—a longing for the nurturing, love, and safety that never fully arrived. It’s shaped by silence, unmet needs, and the invisible weight of generations.
To heal is to gently turn toward that ache, to grieve what we didn’t receive, and to learn how to mother ourselves with the tenderness we’ve always deserved.
On a deeper level, the mother wound also signifies a collective disconnection from the Primordial Mother — the Earth, the body, the feminine, the sacred cycles of life. In cultures that have devalued nurturing, intuition, and interdependence, we see this wound reflected in our disregard for the planet, our bodies, and each other.

To tend to the mother wound is to begin the work of reconnection: with ourselves, with community, and with the Earth — the primordial mother who holds us all. As we heal, we remember what it means to be present, to belong, to care, and to live in harmony with what sustains us.
Our Intention & Invitation-

This is a space for women who are ready to gently explore and tend to the impact and the pain from their relationship with their mother or maternal figures.

This group is for you if:
-
You struggle with self-worth, emotional abandonment, or a persistent sense of not being "enough"
-
You grew up with a mother who was emotionally unavailable, critical, distant, or enmeshed
-
You find yourself caught in patterns of perfectionism, people-pleasing, or hyper-independence
-
You carry unspoken grief, anger, guilt, or shame around your upbringing
-
You’ve learned to care for everyone but struggle to nurture yourself
-
You long for a deeper connection to your feminine self—your intuition, your body, your softness, your strength
-
You feel called to break generational cycles and step into a more empowered, authentic version of womanhood
-
You’re curious about how your personal mother wound story might be influenced by collective and cultural burdens such as patriarchy and individualism

If your childhood left emotional gaps, questions, or wounds that still affect how you love, trust, and care for yourself—this space is for you.
This is a co-created sacred circle for women to be witnessed, held, and gently walk each other back home to themselves.
Additional Therapeutic support:
The pain of the mother wound as a primary attachment wound is a very tender territory and thus guarded by strong protectors that are often still needed due to external constraints (e.g. the ongoing relationship with the mother/ caregiver). Being respectful of the readiness and the guidance as well as the boundaries of the system is crucial. While we intend to create a reflective, supportive space, we want to acknowledge that this group is not individual therapy and individual therapy or additional therapeutic support is highly recommended.
IFS Perspective:
We will be working with our system through an IFS lense. Some familiarity with parts language and your own system is needed to effectively participate in this offering.

Approach & Method-

INTERNAL FAMILY SYSTEMS:
Internal Family Systems is a transformative and evidence-based modality of psychotherapy that weaves together neuroscience, systems thinking and the relational aspect while honoring both our spiritual and human nature. It reveals and trusts the universal divine intelligence, the intuitive healing force that resides within us all and helps us direct it within and towards our inner world, releasing constraints and infusing our systems and lives with its qualities. 'Unblending from' to 'be with' and contain our own inner experience is at the heart of IFS. In this way we welcome all parts of our Psyche, our shared humanness back home and we cultivate a securely attached relationship from the inside out.
COMPASSIONATE: We cannot shame ourselves into change, but we can love ourselves through transformation. Healing comes organically and effortlessly when we can bring our unconditional loving attention to our inner experience as well as when we can be an open, loving space for each other.
CREATIVE: Creativity is essential, bringing aliveness and richness to any exploration, honoring our uniqueness of expression. Our journey will include experiential exercises, embodiment practices, journaling, intuitive drawing and more.
CONNECTED: The process is deeply relational. We will bring awareness to different patterns of inner and outer relating and we will cultivate a deeper connection to our inner world, to our bodies and to each other in our shared container.
COMMUNITY: Many times, in our individualism affected western culture we tend to forget that, but it takes a village to raise a child let alone heal and resource a child and maybe even several parts of ourselves. We gather together with a shared intention to hold ourselves and each other in authenticity and vulnerability. We walk each other home, inspire, being inspired and reclaiming the sense of belonging.
Join us for a profound 6-week women's circle journey of healing the mother wound through Internal Family Systems in sacred sisterhood. This is not just a workshop, it is a revolutionary act of reclaiming your authentic feminine power as a woman.
