Mast Magan
Kabir ke Shabad with Tara Singh Dodve Ji & His Mandali
January 24–26, 2026
Bodhigram Empowerment Centre
Thano Village, Dehradun
An Invitation
Hello Saathiyon,
This is a soulful invitation to deep dive into the living world of Kabir and other mystic saints with Malwi folk artist Tara Singh Dodve Ji and his mandali. Over three simple, music‑filled days at Bodhigram, we sit close, learn shabads line by line, and explore how their wisdom can quietly transform our everyday life.
What is Mast Magan
MastMagan is a small, heart‑centred workshop where the guide hold the space. Instead of a festival with many performances, this is a slow baithak – we sit together in circles, listen, sing, ask questions, and allow Kabir and other Saints’ words to touch our own real situations.
Across three days, you will:
-
Learn a few selected shabads from Kabir and other mystic saints in call‑and‑response style.
-
Understand the meaning, context, and bhaav behind each line.
-
Reflect on how these teachings speak to love, family, money, work, anger, ego, and everyday dilemmas.
What awaits you
Learning the shabad
Tara Singh Ji will teach each song slowly – repeating lines, sharing pronunciation, tune, and rhythm – so that even beginners can sing along with confidence.
Arth and Yatharth
Between songs, we will share life experiences, examples, and simple explanations that make Kabir’s words deeply relatable to modern life.
Sangat and quiet
There will be unhurried time for sitting with the words, walking in nature, and informal conversations over chai, in the tranquil campus of Bodhigram.
