Roohdaariyaan

A Soulful Journey with the Women Saints of India

April 24–26, 2026

Bodhigram Empowerment Centre

Thano Village, Dehradun

“देव खातें देव पितें, देव देतें देव घेतें.”

Dev khāte, Dev pite, Dev dete, Dev ghete.

God eats, God drinks; God gives, and God receives.

These simple yet profound words by the saint-poet Janabai remind us that the divine is not separate from life. In her poetry, the sacred is not found only in temples or rituals but in the ordinary rhythms of everyday living – cooking, cleaning, sharing food, serving others, and remembering the divine in each moment.

For Janabai, the Divine was present in every act. The one who cooks, the one who eats, the one who offers, and the one who receives, all are expressions of the same sacred presence.

This vision invites us to see life differently:
that spirituality is not something distant or reserved for special moments, but something that quietly unfolds in the flow of daily life.

Roohdaariyaan is an invitation to step into this spirit, to listen to the voices of mystic women who discovered the divine not outside life, but within it.

Roohdaariyaan is a three-day gathering to rediscover the voices of women mystics who sang of love, devotion, freedom, and union with the divine. Through music, storytelling, dance, poetry recitations, conversations, and shared reflection, we will explore the lives and teachings of three extraordinary women mystics whose voices continue to inspire seekers across centuries and explore what their lives mean for us today.

This festival is an invitation to listen deeply – to their songs of devotion, freedom, longing, and inner awakening.

The Women Saints We Will Explore in this Edition (2026)

Mirabai
A Rajput princess who chose the path of devotion over royal life. Her songs of love for Krishna express fearless surrender and divine longing.
